Making your Christmas list? {Sponsored Post}

Have you noticed that it's just one month until Christmas Eve? Yikes. How did that happen? Perhaps you're working away on your Christmas list for Santa. Does he know any cool, Canadian on-line fabric shops? Last Christmas, my in-laws stepped in for Santa and they sure did! Each month for 6 months, a squishy bundle of happiness arrived in my mailbox. You can check out some of the fabric-y goodness here, here, and here. This year, Alanna @ Fridays Off Fabric contacted me to see if I'd spread the word about it being easier to give Le Club. There are gift subscriptions - 3 or 12 months of the Full Stash (12 fat quarters) or the Half Stash (6 fat quarters).

Fridays Off carries lots of my favs - Carol Friedlander, Cotton & SteelLizzy House, Ann Kelle. I could go on and on. But the selection isn't limited to the fabrics you see at every other shop. The bundles I received last year rarely contained fabric that I could buy at my LQS.

And, because Alanna over at Fridays Off Fabric is so great, she's offering up a giveaway - November's Half Stash Bundle, featuring some lovely Christmas-y Cotton & Steel. I may or may not have some of these in my stash at the moment! ☺
November Half Stash Bundle
To win, leave me a comment telling me about the best quilting related present you've ever received. And there's a bonus entry to those of you who follow Fridays Off Fabric. She has a shop newsletter and all the usual social media platforms. Just tell me how you follow. The giveaway is open to international participants until Monday, November 30th at 11:59 pm Atlantic Time. If you're a no-reply blogger, don't forget to leave an e-mail in your comment, otherwise you can't be contacted if Mr. Random Number Generator chooses you!

P.S. Although this is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.

P.P.S. If you don't manage to get the gift of Le Club this Christmas, Alanna's starting up a solids subscription club in January - 8 solid fat quarters every month for $19.99 a month.

  1. My best quilty xmas present was last Christmas. Husband paid for me to attend a Katie Pedersen workshop in March (and used a vacation day to be with our kids). He wrapped it kind of cool too, giving me Katie and Jacquie's book, then taping a string to the back of the book so when I lifted it up it was attached to a piece of paper that had the workshop description on it and a big "you're going!".

    Yay! Still haven't finished the project though. Boo.

  2. Last year my folks got me an ergonomic rotary cutter, which I love. But I suppose the best gift was 26 years ago when they got me a Kenmore sewing machine from Sears - which is still going strong!

  3. A couple of years ago, my son go me a gift card for my LQS because he didn't know what to buy. He said he hoped I could find fabric I didn't already have. Of course I did, lol.

  8. My best ever quilting related present was my birthday present from my husband a couple of years ago--my treadle sewing machine. We found it on Craigslist. He even helped me hoist it into our car and up to our second floor guest room. (No small feat.)

  10. The best gift is to have a husband not interfering with my fabric addiction. Instead he drags the envelops and parcels through the snow into our house. Cannot ask for more, can I?

  11. My best quilty present didn't come at Christmas time, but is sure is awesome! It's my sewing machine! My mother-in-law (future MIL at the time) gave me a sewing machine that had been in their family since my husband's great grandmother was sewing. :) It's the machine that got the ball rolling with sewing for me. :)

  16. Two awesome Christmas sewing gifts, one was a pair or fabulous seam/stitch rippers and the other was a gift certificate to my local LQS. What made it so special was that it was a very unexpected and generous gift from my boss.

  17. Best quilting present was Liberty fabric my husband brought from London. The most surprising quilting related gift was also fabric, but not from my husband: last year, my office`s Secret Santa bought me a lovely FQ bundle from my local quilt store, Patch. Compared to some of the gifts I have received in that secret Santa exchange over the years (Body wash? DVD of a series I don`t watch?) this was really, really awesome.

  20. Last Christmas, my daughter and daughter-in-laws all gave me 1.5" or 2.5" squares of fabric from their stash for my postage stamp quilt which I had just started collecting. That meant a lot to me more than any purchased gift. kthurn@bektel.com

  22. My kid's made me a design wall a few Christmases ago. Best gift ever. My husband also found an old (I think High School Art Table) for about $15 also a couple of years ago. It's quite large and the idea is to drop my sewing machine down in to it one day.

  35. Hmm my best quilty gift.....so many to choose from! Does my husband's ability to not lose his sanity when package upon package of fabric arrive on our doorstep count? If I have to pick a physical thing, it would be gifts of fabric that my husband picked out for me ;)
