By the time you read this post, these quilts will be in the tiny hands of their new owners. Himself & I have been waiting so long to meet them. One of my main distractions during that time was making special things to welcome them into the world. You've seen some of them here, here, here, & here.
Their quilts were by far the toughest for me. It was so hard to decide...you can read about my deliberations here. I wanted them to be special. Similar, but unique. In the end, I think I got there!
And here's Quilt B for Baby... featuring the same fabrics for the pluses, but with a Kona Aqua as the background.
The backings feature large pieces of Amy Butler's Martini and Garden Maze from her Midwest Modern line, as well as a strip of Sunprint Text. These fabrics are also in the quilt tops. I love it when I'm able to use the same fabric on the front and back... though it doesn't happen often!

I love them, but than there wasn't any doubt in my mind that I would. Love and hugs to you, himself and Double Trouble :)ReplyDelete
They are wonderful quilts for wonderful little people!! You will definitely have your hands full but I promise (having had my own double trouble) it will be so worth it. Best to you and your sweet family!ReplyDelete
They are perfect Jenn! Thinking of you this week!!! I hope Aaby and Baby have arrived by now safe and sound and that you're enjoying every moment!ReplyDelete
I think you will have your hands full! I hope all goes well for you and the twins.ReplyDelete
And yes, you got there - the quilts are similar but unique, and lovely.
Congratualtions - both on the quilt finishes, and the pregnancy finish. Look after yourself during these first few months, and don't aim to achieve too much in a day. Sometimes it's an accomplishment just to get through the day and be ready to face the next day. I wish you all the best for the weeks ahead, and wish I could pop round to help with cooking or laundry. (it's a bit far to travel from New Zealand).ReplyDelete
Wishing all of you the very best! :)ReplyDelete
Congratulations! Two beautiful finishes, wishing you the best!ReplyDelete
Great finishes, Jenn, I am looking forward to hearing about the other finishes!ReplyDelete
Oh congratulations on both the quilts and on the twins!! :)ReplyDelete
The quilts are beautiful! And congrats on the twins :) So excited for you both!ReplyDelete
Great job finishing before DT arrived! (My daughter had to wait until she was 10 months old for hers, not that she cared ).ReplyDelete
