4x7 Challenge - Week 2

Pssstt... if you're looking for the Kona link-up, it's here!

Ahh... another week of forced sewing. It's like hard labour, people. Just kidding! Making time for 30 minutes of sewing each day (14 hours of sewing total) is not such a hardship! Though it has looked a bit like Siberia outside my studio window this week...
Berry Barn Designs

So here's the day by day blow by blow....
Day  8 - Got down to business on that last paper pieced block for my Skill Builder 2014. Half done!

Day 9 - So close to done that sewing machine! If only I didn't have to tear bits out...
Day 10 - Success! Finished and layered!

Day 11 - No sewing... just blogging about it. Oh well.

Day 12 - It's not sewing, but I went to the February meeting of MMQG. Sometimes just talking about sewing is enough for me! And I bought fabric at two LQS. Lucky me!
Day 13 - Spent time in the studio playing with fabric for my Kona ♥ link-up!

And I whipped up this infinity scarf for my hot date with Himself!
Day 14 - Finally got organized and made the prize for my 200th post giveaway. It'll be heading to Maine to live with Kitty @ Night Quilter!

This week wasn't quite as successful as Week 1. Some days I spent a lot more than 30 minutes.. other days I manage no actual sewing at all. Aiming higher for Week 3! I'm linking up today with Barn Berry Designs. I guess I should uncross my fingers and give someone else a chance - I won the prize for last week!

  2. I love that scarf! It's definitely siberia here but I couldn't get as much done this week as I want. That whole job thing sort of gets in the way. THis is school vacation week so I will be super duper productive this week. I think :)

  3. Maybe not a perfect 7 out of 7, Jenn, but looks like you had a very productive week! I especially love the infinity scarf. Just yesterday I was wearing the one I made last year for the challenge and thinking, "I really need another one of these!" I used voile, but now I want to try something heavier/drapier... my mind is drawing a complete blank at the moment about what fabric I mean : P Kids! They steal your memory! Good luck with week 3 : )

  7. That's a lot of wonderful things accomplished Jenn! My goodness it looks like you could reach out and just start stitching with that sewing machine! Love your color sense with every one of these projects!

  9. I LOVE the boxy pouch--thank you SO much! I'm trying to decide what to put in it so that I can use it as much as possible. I'm strongly leaning toward making it my portable hand-stitching kit and letting it live in my purse for the much-coveted kid-fell-asleep-in-the-car nap times! Thanks again!
