How you doin'?

You're 21 days into 2016, The Year of The Stash. According to the internet (well, at least this site), 21 days how long it takes to make or break a habit.
If you haven't succumbed to fabric acquisition by now, you're well on your way. And if you have, enjoy your fabric-y goodness and keep soldiering on, comrades. Review your Manifesto if you need to.  And get ready. The first TYOTS link-up is coming! Mark your calendar for February 14th. Yup, show your stash love on Valentine's Day! It's a chance to celebrate the progress you've made to date. It might be a stash based project (or seven) or the improved organization of your fabric hoard stash.

See you (and your stash!) on Sunday, February 14th!

J

P.S. Yes, that blog title should be read in the voice of Friends' character, Joey Tribbiani.

  1. While I didn't make a formal Manifesto, I'm doin' OK. No fabric purchased and no plans to until Mid-Feb. Used almost all my blue strings for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I'm in the process of inventorying all my unquilted tops with plans to give away most of them, which opened up an amazing amount of floor space around the house (now if I could just reclaim the dining table ...).

  2. I'm not quite at zero purchased but I have been able to stay out of the quilt shops and hopefully we get dumped on by snow and I can stay home and quilt more this weekend or at least work on my destash.

  4. I am doing great. I did purchase more backing fabric for the placemats I am doing, but paid with credit that I had at my LQS. ( that doesn't count lol ). Not buying and finishing WIP or UFO's is an awesome combo.

  5. So far so good Jenn! For me it's because I haven't sewn a stitch though :(
I'm hoping to write my own manifesto in Feb in time for your Valentine's linky.

  6. No fabric purchases to date. Does a zipper on sale for 25 cents count???? I bought a couple of those.

  7. Doing good on my end! Been stitching away on my WIPs. I've only bought a backing and some thread so far (all of which were with a gift certificate, so it was technically free. LOL).

  8. so far so good, I've not bought anything and I actually finished a quilt, so I'm saying I in the win column. I've been sorely tempted, but haven't fallen victim to it yet (hehehe).

  9. Well I didn't promise not to buy anything in my manifesto....but they have been thoughtful purchases and one was bought with a gift certificate....I have been using up that stash though!

  10. I'm doing pretty good as I used up several fat quarters and some yardage to piece together backing for my Midnight Mystery Quilt and I've been working on my Millefiori La Passacaglia English paper pieced quilt all from my stash. I did have to purchase 2 years of material that matched a fat quarter from my stash I was using for the stars in my EPP quilt so that I would have enough of that fabric for all the stars in all the rosettes. Only purchase this month. I haven't even looked at Massdrop.

  12. Bank card still locked away behind packing tape. Whoo hoo!
Joey is a classic. I still love his attempts to speak French.
