Sunday Stash - A few little treasures & A Winner!

Just when you thought all the fun and games from the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild's first retreat were over, I have my fabric acquisitions from the week-end to share. Given that one of our retreat sponsors was It's Sew Time in Elmsdale, NS, I really did have to stop and support the shop. ☺
I found these little treasures (even though the colour's a little off on this pic). From front to back, Blueberry Park Rough Patch in Limelight, Ann Kelle Ovals (I can NOT resist them!), and some Carolyn Friedlander Architextures Crosshatch in Yarrow. It was a clean sweep for Robert Kaufman!

And as if that weren't enough, when I got to retreat, Aimee @ Candy Coated Quilts was handing out her Candy Coated Collection subscriptions for April and May. Very spring-y!
Inspired by a pic of daffodils, April's bundle features Jungle, Pesto, Meringue, Lemon, and (of course) Daffodil. My selection of yellows is refreshed!

And then there's May. I love me some lilacs and this bundle's got me looking forward to the blossoms that will pop out all over my neighbourhood in June.
Mulberry, Dahlia, Lavender, Bright Periwinkle, and Hibiscus. How did Aimee know that my stock of purples was perilously low?

And because it's almost as much fun to add to someone else's stash as your own, I have a winner from last week's Tula Tigers for T Giveaway. Mr. Random Number Generator selected #22. That' happens to be Aimee @ Candy Coated Quilts! I swear it wasn't rigged! She said she'd make herself a lovely little iPad cover and I look forward to seeing it.

Thank you to Fabric Please! for sponsoring the quilt and the giveaway!

I'm linking up with Sunday Stash over at Molli Sparkles. Go on. Take a look. I know there will be some fabulous fabric eye candy!

Sunday Stash - Anyone for a cuppa?

Cuppa hot chocolate that is!
It's the inspiration for this month's edition of the Candy Coated Collection. I know, I know. There's brown. But there's also a lovely FQ of Chinese Red. And let's face it, every once in a while, even I need to take a trip to Browntown.
Behold - Snow, Latte, Coffee, Espresso (I see a theme here) and Chinese Red.

I'm linking up with the ever sparkly Molli Sparkles for Sunday Stash. It's a pretty meager offering this week, but it's Kona and I love it!

P.S. If you stick around this week, you'll see that one of these browns already got some use! Ah... but which one? ☺

Sunday Stash - Am I blue?

Hello out there, fabricaholics! It's been some time since my last Sunday Stash (all the way back in September in fact!) As boring as it sounds, I've been working from my stash and trying pretty hard not to buy any fabric. But my Candy Coated Collections are still rolling in! Here's November's offering!
I think Aimee @ Candy Coated Quilts sneaked into my studio and used my computer mouse as the inspiration for this bundle!
Okay, okay. So the inspiration wasn't my mouse. It was this little lovely... Aimee's a bit of Blue Jay fan. Not this sort of Blue Jay fan... she refrained from using the team logo!
I'm linking up with Sunday Stash with Molli Sparkles. Ah... so sparkly.

Sunday Stash - Unexpected...

Since I made 0 trips to my LQS and 0 on-line purchases this week, I really wasn't expecting to have a Sunday Stash post this week. But somehow, fabric made it's way into my life nonetheless!

On Thursday evening, before our Do Bees FQ Swap, Fancy Nancy gifted me this little lovely, tied up with some selvages (she saves for me!).
It's classified ads for all manner of little vehicles! Too cute! Fancy Nancy said it was in exchange for the cat fabric I gave her a while back... not at all necessary, but appreciated. And it's got a lovely selvage!
Then at the MMQG Sew In yesterday, Val (of Purple Boots & Pigtails fame) gave me this fun print. Do you recognize it?
Yup! It's Mr. Men!  She found it in a quilt shop in Newfoundland and though of BT... since her Mr. Purple Boots Junior is a little big for novelty prints these days. Mr. Tickle was always a favourite!
BT did well on this round.... vehicles and Mr. Men. I might have to go internet hunting for some Little Miss fabric for GT.  These babies are so lucky to have people thinking of them and sending little gifties. It's really not about the gifties... it's the thought that means so much to me.

And then, out of the blue, appeared the October selection of Canady Coated Collections. I wasn't expecting it and it was a great pick me up! Aimee went for Hallow'en-ish. I love it! And wouldn't you know, I was looking for some Kona Corn Yellow a while back!
I'm linking up with good 'ole Molli Sparkles for some Sunday Stash action. Pop on over and get your fabric fix. If only one could pet it trhough the screen!

Sunday Stash - Candy Coated Collections

So my MMQG pal, Aimee from Candy Coated Quilts, has done it again. As if her pixel quilts weren't awesome enough (really... pop over and check them out), she's created some wicked good Kona FQ packs.
Somehow I managed to miss showing off the June bundle. Some lovely greens to build my stash (as though it really NEEDED building)

From the top, there's Ash, Snow, Sprout, Chartreuse, and Grass. Gets me thinking about springtime leaves. For the past couple weeks, it seems like the world is just a little bit greener each time I look out the window. So welcome after this winter's Snowmageddon.

And yesterday, Aimee popped in to our MMQG Sew In to drop off the July bundle. Yummo!
I love that she's taken to labeling them as well. One less step for me to do when I add them to the stash. Mind you, the labels will have to come off for my required pre-wash and ironing!
I can hardly wait to see what she and her team (okay... her husband) come up with next month. We (her fairly small circle of loyal subscribers) keep telling her she should go global. You know, in her spare time.

I'm linking up today with the fabulous Molli Sparkles for

Now it's time to get away from the computer and get back to sewing!
