WIP Wednesday - Back on the Skill Builder wagon!

It's Week 1 of Barn Berry Designs' 4x7 Sewing Challenge and I kicked things off before the month even started with the first MMQG Sew In of 2015. Thumbs up for Sew Ins! I had planned to work on the September and October blocks of my Skill Builder 2014, but I really needed to review the lesson video.... not very doable in a room full of chatty quilters (myself included!) Thankfully, I had printed the pages for the ginormous November block! Yup, that's 6 letter sized pages taped together!

I really can make a mess while paper piecing! I arrived a little late and ended up at a slightly larger table by myself. Good thing considering how much I managed to spread out!
All that stuff fit nicely into these...

Himself  oops, I mean, Santa really knows how to shop. I have to admit that I asked for a wheelie case for my machine... with the only direction being that I didn't want it do be floral and/or tapestry. The bottom bag holds my machine (with room for other items stuffed in) and the top bag was perfect for notions, fabric, lunch, etc. Well done, sir, well done.
I spent a little too much time socializing and had to continue my paperpiecing madness at home!
But I did finish that pesky block!
And got a good start on the September block! This one's very, very fiddly. I'll be pleased to be finished it. Even though that means re-doing the section sporting a piece of painters' tape. Wrong teal... drat!

So far, I've managed to sew on Days 1, 2, & 3 of the Challenge. We'll see what tonight brings for Day 4!
I'm linking up today with Let's Bee Social @ Sew Fresh Quilts, as well as WIP Wednesday @ Freshly Pieced.

    1. Hi Cindy! Did you know you're a no-reply blogger? Check out the link below to learn how to change your settings. As for the block, it is the last of the blocks in the Pile O Fabric Skill Builder course for 2014. You can buy the entire course for just 25$ (lifetime on-line access).

  10. You are not doing paper piecing properly unless you make a HUGE mess of torn paper and fabric trimmings. It sounds like all is well.
    Yes, very well done, sir.
